About Us
IAIMSO was founded in 2011 at the University of California, San Diego by the campus AIM Student Organization and its advisor, Dr. Tricia Bertram Gallant.
IAIMSO student leaders are just that, students! We are present at all levels of the education system including high school, college, and graduate school. We have all experienced the temptation and opportunities to cheat but understand the consequences that accompany cheating both for us and our fellow students. The Student Leaders of IAIMSO are steadfast in their pledge to change the culture of academic integrity at all levels of education.
Dr. Tricia Bertram Gallant
Dr. BG (as the students know her) had been involved in the international academic integrity movement since 2002, both as an active International Center for Academic Integrity Board of Directors member and then as the Chair for the Center’s Advisory Council, and as an author and speaker. With her knowledge of the academic integrity research and the international scope of the problem, and her students’ energy and ideas for changing the hearts, minds and behaviors of their peers, they together came up with the idea for IAIMSO, an organization to help high school and college students around the world make a different on their campuses.
